  1. Delete in File Manager

    Login to cPanel.
    Tutorial: login from the Client Area or the direct link.

    Find the Files section and click the File Manager link.
    Navigate to the directory where you want to delete the file or folder in the File Manager Current Folder section.
    Click the Delete button in the Task Bar.
    or 
    Right-click and select the Delete option in the drop-down menu.

  2. Trash Window

    Trash Window:
    Skip trash and permanently delete the files
    Check the box If you want to delete the file permanently.
    Leave the box unchecked if you want the file to go into the trash to be manually deleted later.

    Click Confirm to delete the file.

Step-by-step tutorial – Restore files/folders in File Manager – cPanel

If you have deleted a file or a folder, you can recover the deleted files from the Trash folder. But only If you have not checked the Skip the trash and permanently delete the files option.

  1. Click the View Trash button from the toolbar beneath the Task Bar.

2. Select the file or folder you want to restore.

3. Click the Restore button from the top Task Bar.

or

Right-click on the file and select Restore from the options menu.

4. Click the Restore Files button to confirm.
