  3. Password and other

    Key Password
Enter a secure password in the Password text box. It must contain uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. The system will evaluate the password that you enter on a scale of 100. A weak password has 0 value, while a very secure password has 100 value. Or you can click Generate to let the system create a secure password for you.
    Confirm Password
    Retype the Password from above.
    Expiration Date
Use an appropriate expiration date for your key. The system defaults to one year (1y).
    Key Size
Select the key size, in bits. The key size defaults to 2048.
The larger the key size, the more mathematically secure the key. Having said that, a 2048-bit key is realistically all that’s needed.
The larger the key size, the more likely you are to have problems with an unsupported system or recipient.
