Learn how to Enable and Disable ModSecurity for individual domains in cPanel. ModSecurity is an open-source web application firewall (WAF) that is designed to be integrated within web servers such as Apache and Nginx and assist with mitigating commonly known attacks. Through the use of ModSecurity Domain Manager, the cPanel interface allows the user to enable and disable ModSecurity on a per-domain basis.

  1. ModSecurity

    Login to cPanel.
    Tutorial: login from the Client Area or the direct link.

    Find the Security section and click the ModSecurity link.

  2. Configure Individual Domains

    You must enable ModSecurity under Configure All Domains before you can configure ModSecurity for individual domains.
    To enable or disable ModSecurity for a specific domain, select On or Off.

  3. Wait for the success message.
