Learn How to Check WordPress Integrity with the WordPress Toolkit. The last part of keeping your site up to date and running is to check WordPress integrity. You can check to see if your site has files that have ever been infected by malware. It is an important step in ensuring your website is active and online.

  1. Check WordPress Integrity

    Login to cPanel.
    Tutorial: login from the Client Area or the direct link.

    Find the Domains section and click the WordPress Toolkit link.
    or
    In the search bar at the Top, type WordPress Toolkit and click on the result.

    Click the Check WordPress Integrity link.

  2. Check WordPress Integrity Pop-up Window

    Click the Verify Checksums button.
    This will then verify the core WordPress files against the master files from wordpress.org

    If there are issues found, you may see warning messages.
    If you have double checked you have a backup and there are files to correct, you can click the Reinstall WordPress Core.
    This will re-download the WordPress Core and reinstall the files.
    If this completed without errors, you should then see a final confirmation that the WordPress Core was reinstalled successfully.

  3. Check WordPress Integrity Pop-up Window

    Or if you get the message as shown below.
    Everything is working correctly.
