Image Scaler – cPanel

Learn how to use Image Scaler – cPanel. The Images interface allows you to modify and manage images that you saved to your account. The Cpanel Images Scaler will make resizing images faster and easier. Scale image to increase or decrease its dimensions or to resize an Image.

Step-by-step tutorial – Use Image Scaler in cPanel

  1. Images

    Login to cPanel.
    Tutorial: login from the Client Area or the direct link.

    Find the Files section and click the Images link.

    Click the Scaler link.

  3. Scale button

    Click the folder icon for the directory that contains the images you wish to resize.
    Choose the image you want to scale and Click the Scale button next to it.
    Image Scaler is a single image tool and can be used with a single image at a Time.

  4. Scale Image

    New Dimensions
    – Type the new image dimensions. Measured in pixels. 
    When you change the dimensions and click the image, the resized image is displayed (but not yet saved).
    Percent
    – Type the new image dimensions. Measured in percent of the original image size. 
    When you change the dimensions and click the image, the resized image is displayed (but not yet saved).
    This part of the tool allows you to see the effects of the resizing. 
    Keep Aspect Ratio
    – Keep this checked to avoid possible image stretching or distortion.
    Retain a Copy of the old image as
    – The cPanel image scaler overwrites the existing image with the newly resized image. 
    If you want to keep a copy of the original image, make sure to check this box.
    – By default, cPanel will add the prefix “old-” to the original file name. You can change the file name or path before resizing if you wish.
    Reset Dimensions
    You can reset the image to the original size by clicking this button.

    Finally Click the Scale Image button.

  5. Wait for the success message
