Enable and Disable ModSecurity for all domains – cPanel

Learn how to Enable and Disable ModSecurity for all domains in cPanel. ModSecurity is an open-source web application firewall (WAF) that is designed to be integrated within web servers such as Apache and Nginx and assist with mitigating commonly known attacks. Through the use of ModSecurity Domain Manager, the cPanel interface allows the user to enable and disable ModSecurity on a per-domain basis.

  1. ModSecurity

    Login to cPanel.
    Tutorial: login from the Client Area or the direct link.

    Find the Security section and click the ModSecurity link.

  2. Configure All Domains

    To disable ModSecurity for all domains, click Disable.

  3. Configure All Domains

    A confirmation message will appear.
    Click Disable All to disable ModSecurity.

  4. Wait for the success message.
