Learn How to Manage WordPress Automated Backups with Softaculous in cPanel. Softaculous enables Automated Backups for your installation. You can choose to backup Backup Once a Day, Once a Week, Once a Month, or Custom.

Tutorial – Manage WordPress Automated Backups Softaculous – cPanel

  1. Softaculous Apps Installer

    Login to cPanel.
    Tutorial: login from the Client Area or the direct link.

    Find the Software section and click the Softaculous Apps Installer link.

  2. Softaculous dashboard

    Click the Installations purple button.
    or
    Click the third icon Installations in the top Task Bar.

  3. Script Installations

    Click the Edit Details Pen Icon next to the chosen WordPress installation.

  4. Automated backups

    Find Automated Backup section:
    Choose the Backup frequency i.e.
    – Once a Day, Once a Week, Once a Month
    – choose Don’t Backup if you want to disable automated backups
    – Choose custom if you want to customize

  5. Backup Rotation

    Choose the Backup Rotation.
    – it represents the maximum number of automated backups for this installation.
    If the maximum limit is reached Softaculous will delete the oldest backup of this installation.

  6. Click the Save Installation Details button.

  7. Wait for the success message.
