Step-by-step tutorial – Restore Backup using Backup Wizard – cPanel

  1. Backup Wizard

    Login to cPanel.
    Tutorial: login from the Client Area or the direct link.

    Find the Files section and click the Backup Wizard link.

    Click the Restore button.

  3. Step 2

    Select Restore Type
    Restoration options:
    Restore a Home Directory 
     restore your home directory from a backup that you have previously downloaded. 
    Be aware that using this tool will overwrite ALL of the files and data within the home folder, including website files within your public_html directory and any email saved in the Mail directory.
    If you need to restore only one aspect of your home directory, you will need to decompress the saved backup file and restore manually using FTP or the cPanel File Manager.

    Restore a MySQL Database
     restore a MySQL database associated with your account.
    Restore a Email Forwarders 
     restore the configuration for all email forwarders/aliases created for a given domain.
    Restore a Email Filters 
     restore all Account Level email filters created for a domain. This feature can not restore User Level filters.

  4. Step 3

    Click the Choose File under the chosen Restore Backup.

  5. Step 3

    Select the Backup file on Your Device and Click the Upload button.

  6. Wait for the Success Message
