Tutorial – Create MySQL Database User in the Client Area

  1. Login to Extilum Client Area

    You can log in to Your Client Area by going to this link.
    Once you have logged into your Client Area click the Services green button.

  2. My Products & Services

    In the My Products & Services table, find your hosting service and click the Manage button.

  3. MySQL Databases

    Scroll down the page until the Manage Account title, then choose the MySQL Databases button.
    You can also find the MySQL Databases link in the right menu in alphabetical order.

  4. Create User

    Click the + Create User button.

  5. Create User Window

    User Name
    – type the MySQL user name.
    Password
    – type the user password.
    Type a secure password in the Password text box.
    Password must have at least 8 characters, must contain at least three character categories among the following:
    Uppercase characters (A-Z),
    Lowercase characters (a-z),
    Digits (0-9),
    Special characters (~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|(){}[]:;”‘<>,.?/)

    The system will evaluate the password that you enter on a scale of 100. A weak password has 0 value, while a very secure password has 100 value. Or you can click Generate to let the system create a secure password for you. 

    Click the Create button.
    Wait for the success message.

Tutorial – Change a MySQL Database User’s Password in the Client Area

  1. Next to the chosen User, click the Change Password icon.

2. Change Password

Password
– type the user password.
Type a secure password in the Password text box.

Tutorial – Rename a MySQL Database User in the Client Area

  1. Next to the chosen User, click the Rename User icon.

2. Rename User Window

New name
Type the new User Name.
Click the Edit button.
Wait for the success message.
