Learn how to Create Forwarding using cPanel. You can forward the message to another email address, system account or discard the message and send an error to the sender. All Extilum Web Hosting plans offer you unlimited Email Accounts and Forwards.

Step-by-step tutorial – Create Email forwarding in cPanel

  1. Login to cPanel

    Tutorial: login from the Client Area or the direct link.

    Go to Email section and click on Forwarders.

  2. Create an Email Account Forwarder.

    Click on Add Forwarder button.

  3. Add Address and Destination.

    Address
    Address to Forward text box – type the email username that you want to forward.
    Domain list box – select the domain for the email address.

    Destination
    Choose a destination for the forwarded email:
    — To forward the email to another address, type the email address in the Forward to Email Address text box.
    — To discard the email and send an error to the sender, click Discard and send an error to the sender (at SMTP time).
    You can also set the text for the error message that the sender receives in the Failure Message (seen by sender) text box(optional).

  4. Advanced Options (optional)

    Forward the email to a system account
    — Click Forward to a system account, and then type the system account name in the text box.
    Pipe the email text to another program
    — Click Pipe to a Program, and then type the command in the text box.
    Discard the email entirely
    — Click Discard (Not Recommended).

    Click on the button Add Forwarder.

  5. Wait for the success message.

Tutorial – Create Domain forwarding in cPanel

Email domain forwarding in cPanel allows you to redirect all emails sent to one domain to another domain name. This option is useful if you have registered multiple domain TLDs for your business and want to forward any email sent from @example.com to @example.co.uk.

Create an Email Account Forwarder. Click on Add Domain Forwarder.

Click the drop-down list and select the domain you wish to forward the email from.

Enter the domain you wish to forward the email to in the field.
