Learn how to How to Manage Subdomains in the Client Area. A Subdomain is a domain with an extra prefix that operates separately from the original domain.

For example, if the registered domain name is yourdomain.com, the subdomain will be prefix.yourdomain.com.
You can use subdomains to create unique, separate content areas of your website. For example, blog.yourdomain.com and shop.yourdomain.com.

Tutorial – Create Subdomain in the Client Area

  1. Login to Extilum Client Area

    You can log in to Your Client Area by going to this link.
    Once you have logged into your Client Area click the Services green button.

  2. My Products & Services

    In the My Products & Services table, find your hosting service and click the Manage button.

  3. Subdomains

    Scroll down the page until the Manage Account title, then choose the Subdomains button.
    You can also find the Subdomains link in the right menu in alphabetical order.

  4. Create Subdomain

    Click the +Create Subdomain button.

  5. Create Subdomain

    Subdomain
    — type the name of the subdomain you want to create in the Subdomain text box. 
    Domain
    — choose the domain name you wish to create a subdomain for from this drop-down menu.
    Document Root
    — it automatically fills in the document root path by using the subdomain name you’ve entered. This path is where the subdomain’s files are stored.
    If you want to store the subdomain’s files in another directory, enter the full path in the Document Root text box.
    Click the Create button.

Tutorial – Mange Subdomain in the Client Area

  1. Next to the chosen subdomain click the pen icon Manage.

2. Manage Subdomain

Enable Redirection
— Select the toggle to Enable.

Redirection
— Type the URL to which you would like visitors to be redirected if they go to the subdomain.

Document Root
— it automatically fills in the document root path by using the subdomain name you’ve entered. This path is where the subdomain’s files are stored.
If you want to store the subdomain’s files in another directory, enter the full path in the Document Root text box.

Click the Save button.

Tutorial – Delete Subdomain in the Client Area

  1. Next to the chosen subdomain click the Delete icon.

2. Click the Confirm button to delete the subdomain.
