Learn How to Create an Addon domain in the Client Area. An addon domain is a fully functional domain. It is an additional registered domain hosted in a new folder on your account so that you can host many domains from one server. Addon domain can have email addresses, forwarders, and more the same way as a primary domain on the account.

Step-by-step tutorial – Create an Addon domain in Client Area

  1. Login to Extilum Client Area

    You can log in to Your Client Area by going to this link.
    Once you have logged into your Client Area click the Services green button.

  2. My Products & Services

    In the My Products & Services table, find your hosting service and click the Manage button.

  3. Addon Domains

    Scroll down the page until the Manage Account title, then choose the Addon Domains button.
    You can also find the Addon Domains link in the right menu in alphabetical order.

  4. Create Addon Domain

    Click the +Create Addon Domain button.

  5. Create Addon Domain Window

    Domain Name
    Type the new domain name. For example, example.com.
    The interface automatically populates the remaining text boxes, and we recommend that you use these values.
    However, you can enter different values in the Document Root (File System Location) and Subdomain text boxes if you desire.

    Click the Create button.

  6. Wait for the success message

    If you get an error, the error occurs when the domain you are adding points to a remote host not associated with the server.
    Update the domain registrar to point the domain to nameservers that are already pointed at the server.
