Step-by-step – Update PHP Options Using PHP Selector – cPanel

  1. Select PHP Version

    Login to cPanel.
    Tutorial: login from the Client Area or the direct link.

    Find the Software section and click the Select PHP Version link.

  2. Click on the Options tab

    Change the PHP version for this cPanel
    – click the current version and select the required version from the drop-down and then click Set as Current.

    The PHP Options tab allows you to easily change a number of the common php.ini settings, without having to edit the php.ini file.
    The options available here include date.timezone, max_execution_time, memory_limit and more.

  3. Options tab

    Click the value next to the setting that you want to modify.
    – Depending on the type of setting, a list box may appear with predefined settings that you can choose.
    Or, a text box may show up so you can type the value.
    Changes are saved automatically and take effect immediately.

    Unless you have a specific issue, the default settings are usually fine.
    When you modify a setting, a Reset to default link appears beneath the setting label.
    Click the link to change the setting back to the default value.
