Learn how to Manage Domains in cPanel. Use this interface to create and manage multiple domains from a single cPanel account.

A domain name is an identification string that defines a realm of administrative autonomy, authority or control within the Internet.

Update the Domain – cPanel

  1. Domains

    Login to cPanel.
    Tutorial: login from the Client Area or the direct link.

    Find the Domains section and click the Domains link.

  2. Domains Window

    From the domain list choose the domain you want to manage.
    Click the Manage button on the right.

  3. Update the Domain

    The New Document Root option in the Update the Domain section allows changing the current root folder for the domain.

    New Document Root
    Enter a new document root to the text field.
    Click on the Update button.
    This action changes the directory where the webserver searches for your files. It does not move your files to a new root folder.
    You cannot modify the document root for domains that share the document root with the main domain.

  4. Wait for the success message.

Remove the Domain – cPanel

1. In the Remove the Domain section, click the Remove Domain button.

2. Click The Yes, Remove This Domain to confirm.

3. Wait for the success message.
